SSPR (Self Service Password Reset) – Enrollment, and Utilization Guide
Enrollment
Navigate to aka.ms/ssprsetup and configure an authentication method.
Plug in your username@jrenet.com
You will then be directed to plug in your password for OKTA:
Once you sign in with OKTA:
You will be redirected to add another verification method – this is what enrolls you in SSPR for self service password reset. Click NEXT
To add a phone number, select “I want to set up a different method”
Select MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR
If navigating to https://aka.ms/ssprsetup results in redirect to
My Sign-Ins | Security Info | Microsoft.com
You will want to add a sign-in method
Microsoft Authenticator will be the method, which you will be prompted to install:
To install, navigate to COMP PORTAL
Search for Microsoft Authenticator
Install this app
Once installed, on your computer - go back to the screen and select "Next"
Select "Next" again:
This will generate an individualized QR Code:
Head back over to your phone on the Microsoft Authenticator app and choose "Scan QR Code"
Scan the code that was generated on your computer:
Then you are in!
You may get an additional first push/confirmation with a code on the computer that will need to be plugged in on your phone - my code was 52 for the example:
Plug in the code, and hit YES
Enter your phone number, and verify the code sent.
Once completed, you are enrolled!
NOTE: WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SET UP THE MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR APP

Utilization
Navigate to aka.ms/sspr
As seen in this screenshot, you can reset your password with the ‘I forgot my password’ option – OR – perform an account unlock with the ‘I know my password but still can’t sign in’ option.
Verify your number, you will receive a code
Enter the code, and hit NEXT
From this point – either your password reset should kick off, OR you have unlocked your account successfully.
